Blythswood Square Hotel, Glasgow, is one of my favourite places to go for a sneaky cocktail, a thermal spa (aaaand relax….) or food. So I was super excited to go the Sunday before Christmas for my birthday with my lovely hubby and family and boy did we enjoy it. As my 3 year old niece said “Today is all about food because it’s a birthday day” (I think she is going to take after her Auntie)…..

My husband Colin has been counting the days for Roasters Deli in Partick to open. Situated at Partick tube station, this New York inspired deli, offering both sit-in and take-away has been creating a social media buzz about its opening since June. We spent 2 weeks in New York in January and loved the deli sandwiches, hence Colin’s mouth has been drooling every time he saw a tweet or facebook post about Roasters. So we rushed down on its 4th day of opening to sample some delights….
I love My Home Bakery on Hyndland Street, Glasgow. It is just round the corner from my house which makes it an all too tempting option for a quick wee cake or delicious lamb and mango chutney sausage roll…yum!!!! Let’s face it…you know that anywhere that says ‘Diets end here’ on the door is going to be yummy.
Welcome to the second blog in my exercise series. Every Tuesday at 5.45pm I walk into Dance Glasgow on Ruthven lane, tired after a long days work. By 6.30pm, however, I strut out on to Byres Road feeling like a million dollars.
This years Section 33 pop up restaurant is being held for 5 nights in the Britannia Panopticon Music Hall’s, Argyle Street, Glasgow. Launching last year with a pop up restaurant in Govanhill Baths, Section-33 is headed by Kyle Steel. Kyle not only has a wealth of experience in the restaurant business but also a heart of gold- with a proportion of the profits from these events going towards the restoration fund of the Panopticon and food banks. Last years event raised £2000 for the Govanhill Baths restoration appeal.
